Training Course Event - Bridge (WAFA to WFR)

Course Description:

Summary

The WAFA to WFR Bridge course upgrades the Wilderness Advanced First Aid to a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) in 4 days. This course must be taken within 3 years of receiving the WMA International WAFA certification or an equivalent from another provider. The WFR is the definitive medical training course for all outdoor professionals and enthusiasts. This course may be used as a recertification for those holding a current WFR certification or equivalent from another provider whose original WFR training was at least 64 hours in length. Current WMA International Wilderness EMTs may also use this course to recertify the wilderness portion of their certification.

Directions

The course will be held at L.L.Bean's Casco Conference Center:
Take I-295 (Exit 103 off I-95 if coming from the North; Exit 44 or 52 off I-95 if coming from the South) to Exit 20.
-Take Exit 20, Desert Rd off Rt. 295.
-From the South, turn right onto Desert Road. From the North, turn left.
-Go through two traffic lights and turn right at the (3rd) traffic light onto Casco Street. Look for the sign “CRC SOUTH” on the outside of the second building.
-Please enter here and go up the stairs to the Casco Conference Center.

Morning refreshments (coffee, tea, juice, bagels or muffins or similar) are provided. Lunch is not provided. Students must bring a bag lunch or plan to go out locally for lunch. A list of local options will be provided at class.
