Course Description:
Summary
This is a full DOT Emergency Medical Technician program followed by a WEMT Upgrade course. The training will satisfy eligibility requirements for the National Registry, State and WEMT certification. Training will take place daily, Monday through Friday, for four weeks.
Directions
Northern Safety Operations will be holding this course at the Adlersheim Lodge located by road 33 miles north of Juneau. We require all students to arrange their travel into Juneau for at least one day prior to the scheduled start date to ensure adequate adjustment time and trip to the store to pick up any last minute items.

Below are a list of links about the outdoor activities that Juneau has to offer, and also transportation needs. Alaska Airlines flies into Juneau multiple times per day from Seattle and Anchorage. The Alaska Marine Highway (State Ferry) also provides transportation throughout Southeast Alaska, with Juneau being a regular scheduled stop.

Lodging
Comfortable shared lodging is provided to all students with their EMT+W course tuition for the duration of the class located in Juneau at the Adlersheim Lodge. Complementary laundry services are available onsite to all students. Adlersheim Lodge is set amongst some of the most spectacular scenery that any of Alaska has to offer and is located north of Juneau, Alaska on the Juneau road system under the backdrop of the stunning Chilkat Mountains. There is a multitude of hiking and outdoor recreation available within a short distance, in fact even being the state capital with over 30,000 residents, Juneau is lucky enough to have more miles of accessible trails than it does drivable roads!
Food
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided Tuesday through Saturday during class days. On Sunday and Monday there will be no class, and students are encouraged to get out and use this time for taking care of any personal needs in Juneau. Meal service will be limited on these two days.
