Summary:
Wilderness First Aid is a two day introduction to general medical concepts and Basic Life Support skills. It’s targeted to the outdoor enthusiast on day trips or short adventures.
Taught by professional instructors with significant patient care and backcountry experience. Course materials include the Outward Bound Wilderness First Aid text written by our curriculum director Jeff Isaac, WMA fold-out field guide, and WMA patient SOAP notes.

Prerequisites:
Students must be at least sixteen years old to participate in this course. Those under eighteen years of age will require the written consent of a parent or guardian.
Accommodations: Free camping is available on campus at our lake facility - restrooms and kitchen facility- no swimming. Within 10 minute walk from class building.

Food: Continental breakfast provided each morning. Lunch is available for purchase in the university eatery next door or restaurants are within 10 minute drive.
Course Format and Arrival Time: 7:30 a.m.
Parking: Free - from 4 pm Fri. through 7 am Monday.
What to bring: Please bring water bottle and/or coffee mug, pen, paper, old clothes for scenarios, good rain gear and afternoon snacks.
