Summary:
Wilderness First Aid is a two day introduction to general medical concepts and Basic Life Support skills. It’s targeted to the outdoor enthusiast on day trips or short adventures.
Taught by professional instructors with significant patient care and backcountry experience. Course materials include the Outward Bound Wilderness First Aid text written by our curriculum director Jeff Isaac, WMA fold-out field guide, and WMA patient SOAP notes.

Prerequisites:
Students must be at least sixteen years old to participate in this course. Those under eighteen years of age will require the written consent of a parent or guardian.

Food: Morning refreshments (coffee, tea, juice, bagels or muffins or similar) are provided. Lunch is not provided. Students must bring a bag lunch or plan to go out locally for lunch. A list of local options will be provided at class.

Parking: Free secure parking provided.
What to bring: Bag lunch or money to buy lunch nearby, water bottle, notebook and pencil, in addition to WMA's bring list.
Travel Directions:
The course will be held at L.L.Bean's Casco Conference Center:
Take I-295 (Exit 103 off I-95 if coming from the North; Exit 44 or 52 off I-95 if coming from the South) to Exit 20.
-Take Exit 20, Desert Rd off Rt. 295.
-From the South, turn right onto Desert Road. From the North, turn left.
-Go through two traffic lights and turn right at the (3rd) traffic light onto Casco Street. Look for the sign “CRC SOUTH” on the outside of the second building.
-Please enter here and go up the stairs to the Casco Conference Center.
