Course Description:
Summary
The definitive wilderness course in medical training, leadership, and critical thinking for outdoor, low-resource, and remote professionals and leaders.
The Wilderness First Responder program is the ideal medical training for leaders in remote areas including outdoor educators, guides, military, professional search and rescue teams, researchers, and those involved in disaster relief. The curriculum is comprehensive and practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to assess and manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments for days and weeks if necessary.

Asheville Regional Airport is about 45 minutes away, Greenville/Spartanburg International Airport is about an hour, the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport is 2 1/2 hours, and Atlanta Hartsfield/Jackson International is 3 hours.

Lodging
Bathrooms with showers are located in each of our cabins, which will be kept nice and warm. Food and Lodging are available for $110.
Food
Three meals will be provided each day, with the exception of the day off (to be determined by instructors). There will be an expansive salad bar at lunch and dinner, and vegetarian options available at every meal.
