Summary:
Wilderness First Responder (WFR) is the definitive course in medical training for outdoor educators, guides, SAR team members, and others who work or play in remote areas. The curriculum is comprehensive and practical, including all of the essential principles and skills required to assess and manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments. This 5-day format is for individuals and sponsors with less time available for on-site training and requires 25 hours of pre-course preparation.

Registration, payment of fees, cancellation and refund policy: Registration will close 30 days prior to the first day of the course. Your full payment is expected upon registration. Spaces will not be held without full payment. Due to the limited availability of this class and the large demand for thsi training, tuition is fully refundable up until 30 days prior to the first day of the course. Cancellation less than thirty days prior to the first days of class, will result in a 25% cancellation fee. This specific WFR policy supersedes all other Zion Adventure Company course policies.
Prerequisites:
Students must be at least eighteen years old to participate in the Five-Day WFR course. Certain course sponsors may set a higher minimum age or establish other requirements consistent with their program. No previous medical training is required.
Accommodations: Students are responsible for their own room and board. Springdale offers a variety of lodging options including camping, hotels, and bed and breakfasts.

Parking: Available on site.
What to bring: Please be prepared to be outside in temperatures which could be as cold as freezing. Bring appropriate clothing for this location at this time of year. Remember that, rain or shine, much of our time is spent outside.
