Summary
The definitive wilderness course in medical training, leadership, and critical thinking for outdoor, low-resource, and remote professionals and leaders.
The Wilderness First Responder program is the ideal medical training for leaders in remote areas including outdoor educators, guides, military, professional search and rescue teams, researchers, and those involved in disaster relief. The curriculum is comprehensive and practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to assess and manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments for days and weeks if necessary.

Lodging
Cottages are available and are completely furnished and equipped with cooking utensils, flatware, dishes, bed linens, blankets, and bath towels, as well as satellite television, wireless internet, and telephone service. WFR participants check–in March 5 and check-out March 12. Cottage availability is not guaranteed and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Primitive camping is free with registration. For Cottage/Campground reservations call 843-795-4FUN(4386).
Food
Continential Breakfast will be provided. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SNACKS, LUNCH, AND DRINKS as needed for the course. A full kitchen is available for participant use. A variety of local fast food restaurants are available within 2 miles from the course location.
