Description:
Sawyer is a graduate of the US Coast Guard Academy, an EMT-P, and served in Iraq as a Vermont National Guard Combat Medic. Her varied background includes working as a Deck Watch Officer on the USCGC Tahoma; a “house mouse” in Antarctica; a wildland fire fighter; head women’s crew coach; Adjunct Faculty at Johnson State College; medical support for the Mountain Warfare School in Jerico, VT; Operations Manager for Cookson America; and EMT-P in her local ambulance service. In her spare time, Sawyer tends an organic garden, hikes, and climbs.
