Description:

William Bentley is a retired high school physics and outdoor education teacher. In the middle of his teaching career, for eight years, Bill sailed as a deck officer in the Merchant Marine to see the world and ultimately to afford to come ashore and teach again.

In his retirement, Bill is a Registered Master Maine Guide, a per diem Paramedic with Camden First Aid Association, crew chief of CFAA’s Technical Rescue Team, and a member and founding board member of the Friends of Baxter State Park. He finds teaching CEU’s, PALS, and ACLS for local EMS fun and important.

Barbara and Bill manage a home on Mansfield Pond in Hope, Maine with 60 acres of their land protected with the Georges River Land Trust. Barb and Bill have sons in San Francisco, CA, Glenwood Springs, CO, and Logan, UT. Frequent trips West are quite necessary and fun!

Bill still finds himself rock and ice climbing, fly-fishing, canoeing, and creating mountain images with a big old Nikon D-700.
