Darren holds a Masters Degree in Outdoor Recreation and has been a professional Outdoor Guide and Instructor for over 20 years. Darren lives in Buena Vista, Colorado at the base of the 14,000ft Collegiate Peaks and near the banks of the Arkansas River. He is a volunteer member of Chaffee County Search and Rescue and works as an EMT for Chaffee County EMS. Darren has a genuine passion for teaching and describes working for Wilderness Medical Associates as the most rewarding experience of his professional life. Darren shares his love for the outdoors with wife Tina, son Jesse, and daughter Bailey. The kids have been skiing since they were two years old and rafting since they were three, keeping up with them is Darren’s foremost outdoor challenge.
