Location:
California

Description:
Jim defaulted into the Outdoor field after years in college at Alfred Univ. and Ariz. State Univ. and has spent over 25 years Ski Patrolling and 15 years with Outdoor Programs from a private camp in Prescott, Arizona, to working with adjudicated youth in Pa., Nevada, and Tahoe Turning Point Wilderness Program. He has taught with Lake Tahoe Community College since 1990 (Algebra, Chemistry, Wild. Med., and Rock Climbing) and he currently teaches Intro., Intermediate, Lead Climbing and Self Rescue. Jim's first WMA class was a WEMT upgrade in Crested Butte, Co., in 2000. With many years of Backcountry skiing and climbing in the Sierra Nevada, he is excited that Wilderness Medicine is "coming of age" in California and is proud to help WMA achieve this. He has a son, loves to travel when he can, and works on my 'fixer upper' cabin!
