Description:
Ken has been involved in outdoor education since 1986, leading backpacking, caving and river trips for teenagers as well as teaching environmental science and biology. Before moving west, he worked 10 seasons as a whitewater guide on the Chattooga and French Broad rivers. Currently, he volunteers as a rural firefighter/EMT with the Shasta County Mountain Rescue Team, and is an outdoor recreation specialist for Nawa Academy. In his “free” time, he assists in caretaking a 2,500 acre working ranch in far northern California.
