Description:
Paul Plumer has been a fan of WMA since 1989 when he met Jim Morrissey. He became an assistant instructor in the mid 90's. Paul began his career in EMS as an EMT in Boston in 1978 and then worked as a paramedic in the Bronx in the early 80's. In 1985 he became the director of The Maine Paramedic Program at Kennebec Valley Community College where he stayed until returning to graduate school at the University of New England in 2004 in the Physician Assistant Program. He is currently working in the Emergency Department at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine as a PA.
Since 1970 he has been wilderness canoe tripping throughout Canada, from Labrador to the Yukon Territory, and he has been white-water open boating the waters of Maine and Quebec for the past 20 years. He lives in Topsham, Maine.
