Rufus Brown, Esq.

Rufus E. Brown has provided general counsel to Wilderness Medical Associates since 1993. Practicing law in the Portland, Maine law firm of Brown & Burke, he concentrates on commercial litigation, intellectual property and outdoor law.
In addition to representing WMA, he has represented Baxter State Park while working for the Maine Attorney General’s Office and in private practice he has represented outdoor oriented clients, including New England Outdoor Center, a major provider of wilderness programs in Northern Maine. He has lectured and written on outdoor law.

Mr. Brown regularly attends WMA’s annual instructor conference meeting where he makes presentations and looks forward to seeing instructors he has become acquainted with in the past and meeting new instructors.
