Summary
The best and most comprehensive course of its kind to offer relevant and realistic first-aid training for seasonal outdoor activities or short term wilderness endeavors and pursuits.
Wilderness First Aid is a two-day introduction to general medical concepts and basic life support skills. It is targeted to the outdoor enthusiast on day trips or short adventures. The course is taught by professional instructors with significant patient care and backcountry experience.
Room and Board:
Lodging
Basic bunkhouse accommodations available at course site in yurts or set up own tent for $15/night. Bathhouse with flush toilets and shower. Solar electricity. Bring your own sleeping bag and pillow. Quiet time 10pm - 6am. Pets are discouraged, but contact host about arrangements for well-behaved pets. Alcohol and tobacco are not permitted on site.
Free camping in nearby BLM and National Forest, commercial campgrounds, cabins, numerous hotels/motels, and bed and breakfasts. Specific recommendations/directions on request.
Food
No meals included, grocery stores and variety of restaurants nearby. Primitive kitchen with gas stove and sink available at site.
