The Wilderness First Responder program is the ideal medical training for leaders in remote areas including outdoor educators, guides, military, professional search and rescue teams, researchers, and those involved in disaster relief. The curriculum is comprehensive and practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to assess and manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments for days and weeks if necessary.
Housing is in Becton Hall on the central campus of North Carolina State University (2201 Dunn Ave, Raleigh NC). It is building 107 on this map.
Room and Board:
NCSU dorm room. Twin bed with shared room and kitchen access. Students will be staying in Becton Hall on NC State Campus If you want to camp and you have own transportation, you could take a look at camping at Umstead Park.
No food is provided. Kitchen facilities are available in the dorm. Grocery stores and a wide variety of local restaurants are nearby.
