Wilderness and Rescue Medicine

Wilderness and Rescue Medicine differs significantly from conventional medical courses and other programs that are oriented toward the urban environment. These courses teach you how to approach a medical emergency when help is miles away and calling 911 isn’t an option. We prepare students for emergency situations that involve prolonged patient care, severe environments and improvised equipment.

It may be the most comprehensive chunk of learning that I've ever experienced in barely a week and a half. And I'm excited to learn and study even more to become a better care-giver.
