Course Description:
Due to demand this Hybrid WFR Recertification Course is being built into a Hybrid WFR course. Five spots in the October 5-9, 2022 hybrid WFR course have been allocated to those who need to recertify.
Learning is divided up into two components. A self-paced, asynchronous e-learning module is followed by three days of in-person instruction. Students will participate in the last three days of the hybrid WFR course.
This course is designed to maximize learning and prepare students to demonstrate skills and apply knowledge at the WFR standard upon their arrival to the in-person section. The e-learning module takes a minimum of 12 hours. Those that take advantage of the full scope of the platform, will come away with much more than what a standard WFR recertification course provides.
Students participating in this course are expected to have a working knowledge of computers and access to high-speed Internet. Please review the minimum technology requirements for the hybrid WFR here before registering for the course. Students must register at least 2 weeks before the course date to ensure that there is enough time.
Prior to enrolling in a course, please review our Functional Position Description. The criteria set forth in this document allows students to self-assess their ability to meet the demands of both a WMAI course as well as the demands of a certified wilderness medical provider in the field.
