Course Description:
The Open Recertification course is open to graduates of any wilderness-based first aid training course that was at least 64 hours long and completed within 3 years of the proposed recertification option. Successful graduates of this course will receive Wilderness Medical Associates’ Wilderness First Responder, Anaphylaxis, and BLS/Healthcare Provider-level CPR certifications. WMA WEMT graduates with a current EMT-B or Paramedic certificate may also recertify the wilderness portion of their WEMT with this course.
**If you are using this course to recertify a WMA WEMT it is your responsibility to let the sponsor know when registering, and to inform the instructor on the first day of class.**

From Points South:
- Take Exit 20 (Freeport/Desert Rd.) off route I-95 and turn right at stop sign
- Go straight through traffic light and follow Main Street 1.3 mi into town
- Turn right onto Bow Street (across from L.L. Bean Retail Store)
Follow directions below***.
From Points North:
- Take Exit 22 (Freeport/Durham) off route 95, bear right off exit
- Follow the road to the traffic light and turn right onto Main Street
- Go about .5 mi and turn left onto Bow Street
Follow directions below***.
***Proceed 3.6 mi down Bow St. and turn right onto Flying Point Road**.
- Turn left immediately, .1 mi onto Marietta Lane (this is a gravel drive)
- Proceed down this road .3 mi to the L.L. Bean Paddling Center
