Course Description:
The best and most comprehensive course of its kind to offer relevant and realistic first-aid training for seasonal outdoor activities or short term wilderness endeavors and pursuits.
Wilderness First Aid is a two-day introduction to general medical concepts and basic life support skills. It is targeted to the outdoor enthusiast on day trips or short adventures. The course is taught by professional instructors with significant patient care and backcountry experience.

Pick-up & Drop-off:
You can get picked-up and dropped-off at the Ottawa airport, train, or bus station or anywhere downtown for 19 CAD each way.
Pick-ups are before 6pm the day before your course. Drop-offs are the evening that your course ends.
Room and Board:
Lodging
Option A – Stay on-site in a comfortable shared lodging for 19 CAD/night.
Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms, WIFI, library, fireplace, cozy common areas, and easy access to surrounding wilderness.
Option B – Commute from Ottawa/Gatineau (30 minutes)
Option C – Book a private room at a hotel or B&B in the charming village of Wakefield, 7km/4.5miles from the course location.
Food
Bring groceries to prepare your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen.
Boreal River supplies coffee and tea.
There are grocery stores, restaurants, cafés, and bakeries a short drive away in Wakefield.
