Wilderness First Aid is a two-day introduction to general medical concepts and basic life support skills. It is targeted to the outdoor enthusiast on day trips or short adventures. The course is taught by professional instructors with significant patient care and backcountry experience.
All Colorado Outside courses are running at reduced capacity and with additional accommodations in place. Masks are required at all times indoors. Students have their own table space in the classroom. Hands on practice is done outside as much as possible. Masks and eye protection are required while practicing skills. Students are assigned first aid equipment, ground pads and CPR mannikins. Instructors are vaccinated and receive regular testing. Students are not required to be vaccinated, although recommended.
