Chantal is a nurse who has worked in outlying, remote Yukon communities in outpost nursing stations, as well as in a hospital-based setting. Chantal is passionate about the outdoors, with her experience ranging from high-altitude mountaineering to backpacking and skiing in the Yukon and Alaskan backcountry. Chantal has also spent a great deal of time exploring South America by foot, by horse, by boat and by bus. She recently moved back to Northern Ontario, where she plans to establish herself as a permaculture gardener and a facilitator of teaching land-based skills to children, youth and adolescents.
