Instructor Bios

Description:

A past WMA student himself, David began teaching with WMA in 2011. "Earning that first WFR opened a lot of doors for me.  I want to enable students to provide solid medical care and make critical decisions in a variety of contexts."  As an instructor, David's personal and professional experience animate his courses and inform his approach to patient care in the wilderness.  Outside WMA, David works as a Firefighter/EMT in Whatcom County and on the Pro Patrol at Mt Baker.  David, and his dog Walter, call Bellingham, WA home.
