Joel lives in northwest Wisconsin and works full time as a forester. In addition he also works as a wild land firefighter and EMT-B. An avid outdoors-man, Joel enjoys hunting, fishing, cycling, competitive shooting, and paddling. The highlight of his year is an annual two week back country bow-hunt in the mountains out west. Joel became an EMT and Wilderness First Responder in early 2010 and began instructing for Wilderness Medical Associates the same year.
