I am originally from Osaka, but moved to Hokkaido, the northern-most island of Japan, over 30 years ago. In Hokkaido, I work as a raft guide, a kayak guide, a snowshoeing guide, and a dog sledding musher. I am also a Rescue3 Japan instructor and help reduce water-related accidents. My goal is to realize a society where people enjoy outdoor activities and helping each other in any emergencies in the wilderness. Introducing more people to the WMA curriculum to more people is one aspect of my strategy to meet this goal.
