Kelly has been camping, canoeing, skiing, dog sledding, and scuba diving for most of her life.  She currently lives and works in Grand Marais, MN as an emergency room RN and a volunteer EMT-B for a local fire department.  As an instructor for Voyageur Outward Bound School and a variety of camps, Kelly has spent much of the last 18 years exploring and guiding groups into northern Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and the adjacent Quetico Provincial Park.  She also spent 5 years living in Alaska leading dog sledding trips on backcountry glaciers and racing in many mid- and long-distance sled dog races.  Kelly raced and finished the 2003 Iditarod Sled Dog race. She feels honored to be part of the WMA team!
