Swis took the WMA WALS course and fell in love with the quality of the curriculum. Swis runs Granite Arches Climbing Guides, is an AMGA Rock Instructor, and an AMGA SPI course provider. He has been a paramedic, and is a board certified associate professor of Emergency Medicine in VA. He has written for Rock and Ice magazine and he wrote the wilderness medicine chapter in Fasulo's Self Rescue, 2nd Edition. He holds an advanced degree in Anthropology, and he loves music, fly fishing, and his three gals at home.
