Instructor Bios

Description:

Tara is an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  After over 10 years of working as a expedition trip leader, environmental educator and forester, Tara returned to school to become a Physician Assistant.  Before that, she spent years working for Outward Bound in Northern Minnesota, Baltimore, and Philadelphia with at-risk kids. She still finds time to enjoy the outdoors with her husband and dog; and now enjoys doing projects around their new home.  In the past she worked and volunteerd as an EMT with local EMS companies in various parts of the US, and at two different ski resorts with the ski patrol. She has been trained as a rock climbing guide and paddling instructor. When not working, Tara enjoys fishing, hiking, paddling, and observing wildlife in her backyard.
