Marly is a pediatrician who got her start in wilderness medicine early in her career. Starting in residency she took multiple trips to remote parts of Peru delivering health care in areas with no water or electricity. International and low resource medicine became a way of life including trips to Nicaragua and living and working in Guatemala. She is now involved in teaching medical students to prepare them for their clinical rotations as well as pediatric outpatient and hospitalist work.
Marly’s wilderness interests include sailing to remote islands off the coast of Maine, motorcycle touring and camping, hiking, trail running, open water swimming, skiing, and biking.
