Course Description:

The best and most comprehensive course of its kind to offer relevant and realistic first-aid training for seasonal outdoor activities or short term wilderness endeavors and pursuits.

Wilderness First Aid is a two-day introduction to general medical concepts and basic life support skills. It is targeted to the outdoor enthusiast on day trips or short adventures. The course is taught by professional instructors with significant patient care and backcountry experience.

Lodging

A Course & Accommodations Package is available for up to 16 participants, which includes instruction, course materials, parking, lodging for Friday and Saturday nights and meals starting with dinner Friday evening through lunch on Sunday. To get the most out of the workshop, participants are encouraged to stay right at ADK’s facilities. Space is reserved for participants in the lodging yurts. Package participants should bring their own sleeping bag/warm linens, a pillow and towels. While the yurts are heated (55 degrees Fahrenheit), the wash house and restrooms are a two minute walk from the Yurt Village so cold-weather clothing and a headlamp are required.
