Full Course DescriptionMaine’s First Ship WFA
In 2022, Maine’s First Ship launched the 17th-century-inspired wooden pinnace Virginia. Our community’s passion for maritime history & ingenuity forms the backdrop of this two-day hands-on course in remote medical training and certification. MFS is thrilled to host this comprehensive two-day introductory course to wilderness first aid on the shores of the Kennebec River in historic downtown Bath, ME. Course participants may include volunteer crewe from the pinnace Virginia.

Wilderness Medicine Training Courses year round in Montana. This class will be held in Glacier National Park, Montana in West Glacier. There are only a few public spots open for this course.
This is an intensive 2 day WFA training that will teach students how to deal with medical emergencies when they are miles from help and dialing 911 is not an option. The curriculum is comprehensive, yet practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to manage medical problems for working and playing in the remote outdoors.
Full Course DescriptionTaught by Wilderness Medical Associates, this course is the industry standard for outdoor professionals. Many organizations require it as part of their job qualifications. Recommended for outdoor professionals and recreationalists who lead adventure trips, and those who are in the backcountry for days or weeks with the possibility of having to care for a patient over an extended time.
