WFA is a great introduction the concepts of wilderness medicine- it is ideal for personal adventures, and is also the requirement for many outdoor education programs. This WFA course is an expanded, 3 day version intended to satisfy the training requirements for Sierra Club leaders, however it is open to any interested person.

Idyllwild: a classic mountain town with world-class climbing and bouldering…phenomenal mountain biking…stellar hiking…with lots of foodie options (and its own brewpub)- with flexible, reasonable lodging or camping options. And: Joshua Tree National Park is only 75 minutes away! Join us for a great course in a memorable location!

Lodging provided May 20 + 21 A total of 6 meals provided: Breakfast, Lunch, and Supper on both Wednesday and Thursday. Cost: $325 Course Fee + $125 = $450
For students staying off-site but eating lunch at camp: Cost: $325 Course Fee + $45 = $370

Our WFA classes are kept small to help promote a challenging and impactful leaning environment. We believe that experiential engagement with stressful and complicated situations can hone our strengths and expose our areas of needed development. Our facilitation focuses on how best to deploy sound critical thinking, and risk management in any environment.
