This is an intensive 2 day WFA training that will teach students how to deal with medical emergencies when they are miles from help and dialing 911 is not an option.
The curriculum is comprehensive, yet practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to manage medical problems for working and playing in the remote outdoors.

Class is located at the southern end of the beautiful Bitterroot Valley, in Hamilton, MT. Home of world class fly fishing, gorgeous mountains and hiking, and other recreation abound.

Lodging available on site in heated yurts, cabins, or camp on site depending on the season.  Lodging/camping includes showers and kitchen.  Our beautiful private facility borders National Forest but is only 10 minutes from town.  Lodging/camping fees are paid directly to host facility, contact information for lodging will be sent upon registration.  Numerous hotels, and other rentals nearby.  Dispersed camping 10-20 minutes away.

WFA is a great introduction the concepts of wilderness medicine- it is ideal for personal adventures, and is also the requirement for many outdoor education programs.

It will be held at Les Jardins Carya, an organic vegetable farm located in Senneville, Québec. Between the scenic fields and forests, the farm is situated just behind McGill University’s Morgan Arboretum and the Parc Agricole Bois de la Roche. The venue offers a peaceful, natural setting perfect for learning.
