Barb Brittell

Barb Brittell is a Physician Assistant with a Diploma in Tropical Medicine. She has spent her medical career traveling the world and practicing medicine in remote environments, including Antarctica, Alaska, Haiti, Nepal and Afghanistan. In addition to traditional work in inner city emergency departments and rural community health centers, she has worked/volunteered as a Search and Rescue medic, flight medic, offshore PA, and in international disaster response environments. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking the infinite waterways near her home on the Chesapeake Bay, hiking oceanfront trails of Northern California, and communing with eagles, osprey and the occasional (hopefully non-rabid) fox. Her dream is to someday meet a whale.
