Christopher Craver

My name is Christopher Craver (he/him). I began my outdoor journey in 2017 as an amateur guide and completed the NOLS Wilderness First Responder course in 2019. Over the past seven years, I’ve worked as an outdoor instructor in the UAE, where I had also taught English to non-native speakers. I have managed and operated an adventure company, ECC Adventures, in the UAE since 2020, specializing in day hikes and multi-day treks.

With the UAE’s outdoor recreation industry still developing, I aim to elevate guide training and skills. I also value the balance between adventure and responsibility, having transitioned from an idealistic dreamer to a family-oriented professional. I enjoy reading classic literature like Kerouac and Melville, while continuing to embrace the spirit of adventure in a more grounded way.
