Jen Buttery

Jen Buttery is a WMA Assistant Instructor. Her first WMA WFR class back in 2009 started her on her emergency medical path from expedition medic in Mongolia, Russia, and Kazakhstan to offshore medical officer and now AEMT and EMT instructor in Maine. She is also now pursuing a masters in public health. After living abroad and sailing for over ten years, she has now landed in Maine and lives in the midcoast area, where she keeps busy by renovating her old farmhouse, working on (and sailing, occasionally!) her boat, reading/writing, climbing, playing fiddle, and enjoying the outdoors with friends and loved ones as much as possible. She hasn’t forgotten her times abroad, however, and she still sails on occasional tall-ship educational semester programs on her USCG 200GRT Masters license with SEA and helps manage the small Mongolia-based horse trekking company she is a partner in (www.zavkhan.com).
