Course Description:

The definitive wilderness course in medical training, leadership, and critical thinking for outdoor, low-resource, and remote professionals and leaders.

The Wilderness First Responder program is the ideal medical training for leaders in remote areas including outdoor educators, guides, military, professional search and rescue teams, researchers, and those involved in disaster relief. The curriculum is comprehensive and practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to assess and manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments for days and weeks if necessary.

Room and Board:

Lodging will be in a heated building with running water and a common area for hanging out. Rooms are dorm-style with bunkbeds and bathrooms are shared. Food will be served buffet style. We offer a variety of options and will typically have a salad bar in conjunction with a hot meal. Please let us know about dietary restrictions upon registration so our chef can make accommodations.

There is a $150 deposit required to reserve your spot. Cancellations are accepted up to one month prior to the course. After this time, deposit refund is not guaranteed, and will be returned on a case by case basis, less any shipping cost of pre-course materials already sent.
