Natalie has been using her wilderness medical skills for over 13 years as an outdoor guide and educator. She currently spends half the year working for the US Antarctic Program where she wears many hats, including being part of the auxiliary medical team and being medical backup when deployed to remote field camps. In addition to the US Antarctic Search and Rescue, Natalie has worked as a National Park Service Ranger and for the Yosemite Search and Rescue Team. Exposure to emergency response in austere environments, where patient care can be complicated and lengthy, has added to her respect for wilderness medicine. As a passionate educator, she looks forward to the opportunity to inspire good critical thinking and medical skills for any environment.
When not surrounded by ice you can find her somewhere high up on a rock or deep in the mountains she loves.
