RIVER MED – WFR Recert & SRT Recert

This course combines Wilderness Medical Associates WFR Recertification with the SRT3 Recertification. This course is an immersive, on water, learning experience, blending wilderness first aid with swiftwater rescue techniques.

We will run 0900-1700 daily with homework– bring your own lunch– but we have a beautiful facility to work out of!

Lodging available on site in shared cabins for $30/night. Access to kitchen with fridge, microwave, toaster.

The Wilderness Advanced First Aid is the perfect entry-level course for outdoor adventurers and outdoor professionals who may need to provide patient care when help is delayed for hours to days. The course focuses on basic lifesaving skills, patient assessment, field care for common injuries and illnesses, environmental illnesses, and proper reporting for rescue assistance.

We ask that you choose the option that best suits you for all days of the course, as MKC cannot accommodate variations in meals on different days, e.g. you choose lunch-only one day and dinner-only another.

Take your wilderness skills to the next level in the outdoor mecca of the Eastern Sierra. With snow-capped mountains, skiing, climbing, and camping galore, it’s a great place to soak in new skills.

Most of our students capitalize on the numerous dispersed camping options the Eastern Sierra has to offer!

This course is being held at the Crowley Lake Community Center (15 miles south of the incorporated town of Mammoth Lakes, CA).
